Bug Hotels

Bug Hotels

During our topic on growing we have been looking at animals and their habitats. During a science lesson we looked a variety of creatures and we discussed where they would like to live. Next we chose a creature that we would like to create a habitat for. Using peat pots, we went on a hunt for the perfect materials to make a bug hotel for our chosen creature.

Children searching for some wood and twigs to add to their woodlouse hotels!
Once we had collected all of the materials we placed them around the science area ready for our bugs to enjoy! We will check on them regularly.

We can leave our bug hotels out as they are made of peat and will decompose over time.
